Present survey was undertaken with objective to find out the ethnomedicinal plants with antidiabetic potential in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. The result revealed that 48 species belong to 41 genera and 26 families, used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. The excessive exploitation and anthropogenic pressure cause rapid decrease in these medicinal plants. Some species like Gymnema sylvestre, Barleria prionitis, Pterocarpus marsupium, and Terminalia chebula fall in critically endangered category in this region.
