Title

An Analysis of Usage of Digital Gateway for Payment in Rural Citizen w.r.t Ahmednagar of Maharashtra State

Abstract

Digital connectivity is a basic amenity today. This concept behind the government’s Digital India programme aims to expand the digital infrastructure to connect the entire country and provide a digital platform for banking, governance, healthcare and educational services. Government has planned to empower the people of the country digitally also demonetized of the 500 and 1,000 rupee. It resulted in voiding 86 percent of cash in circulation. Rural citizens faced many hardships over the currency crunch in this period, and had a crash course on the benefits of digital services. It demonstrates the fact that services can be provided and accessed digitally even where no physical banks or branches exist. The focus on rural India is not just about CSR and outreach. Corporations seeking to do businesses with them find is mutually beneficial. The private sector has been actively engaging with rural people now that e-commerce has expanded. To accelerate digital literacy at the grassroots in rural India, Intel India announced three innovative initiatives to strengthen its support for Digital India. Rs. 1,800 crore ($265 million) Digital Literacy Mission for 60 million people through which Rs. 300 each on training them, in rural area to bridge the gulf between those who have access to and can use computers and the internet and those who don't. The government target is to make almost 40 per cent of our rural population digitally literate in three years. Previously underserved rural areas will get the benefit of remote access to a range of digital services, including healthcare, education and banking. At one side rural India that lies disconnected and path to their empowerment lies in digitalization is another. The digital model improves efficiencies, reduces wastage and overhead, and allows for effective auditing. Hypothesis: Rural People prefer to use of digital payment gateway when they find certain security, affordability and accessibility of internet facility. Objectives: With the aim to find out the most used mode for payment by rural people, the level of awareness and knowledge towards digital media and their actual behavior towards specific digital mode on which they rely most.. Method: The primary data will be collected from rural part of Maharashtra, using simple random method from 100 people. As tool interview schedule will design. The data will enter and will be analyzed using SPSS. Conclusion: The paper points to action that can help to turn around this unbalanced situation. Statistics of what works generally in the areas of education, health, wage labor, agriculture and natural resource management, and specifically in the area of technology and financial services for running of concept digitization successfully and universally.
