Abstract
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Translation : Primie nimisters Fartmers Tribute Fund) is an initiative by the govenrment of India in which all farmers wil get up to 6000 (equvalent to 6300 or us 84 in 2020 per year as minimum income support. The initiative was announced by piyuesh goyal during the 2019 interim union Budget of India on 1 Februarly 2019. The scheme has cost 75000 Cromre (equivalent to Rs 790 billion or US 11 billion in 2020) per annuam and has come in effect from December 2018. Rs 6000 per year will be paid to each eligible farmer in three instalments and will be deposited dirctly to their bank accounts.
