Generalized anxiety disorder is excessive anxiety and worry about the number of events or activities. The intensity, duration and frequency of anxiety is out of proportion of the anticipated event. The individual finds it difficult to keep the worrisome thoughts from interfering with the routine. It is associated with restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritable, muscle tension, sleep disturbance. This is correlated to chittodvega. It is a manovikara caused by imbalance in manasika dosha that is raja and tama. The case presented here is a review of 64 years old female patient with the of history of generalized anxiety disorder who was treated with rasayana.
