Analytical and narrative studies of the Indian Freedom Movement are attempted in this work, which covers span during 1930-1942 inside South West District of Colonial Bengal in Midnapore. Mahatma Gandhi's rise to prominence as leader of the Nationalist Movement in 1930 marked a watershed moment in India's struggle for independence from British control. Between the two world wars, economic hardship combined with oppressive colonial authority widened the rural basis of the Freedom Struggle in Midnapore, Eastern India's largest District. Students, Hindus, and Muslims all came together in this district to participate in these events despite the fact that prominent Indian Congress leaders were absent, as was the radical phase of the movement. This study will focus on the women's participation in the national movement in 1930-1942.
