Title

Analysis Of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) By Using Ansys Software

Abstract

At present scenario problems like global warming and natural calamities have led to a shortage of fossil fuels. This gradual depletion of fossil reserves has forced the nations to focus more on environmentally friendly renewable energy resources. The hydrogen fuel cell technology fits these requisites. PEMFC is an attractive option for clean power generation and an attractive alternative source of electricity. A growing and important part of this research involves the computer modelling of the fuel cell. Highquality computer modelling and simulation of the fuel cell can help speed up the discovery of optimized fuel cell components, computer modelling can also help improve fundamental understanding of the mechanism and reaction that undergoes inside the fuel cell. In this analysis a proton exchange membrane fuel cell analysis is done using addonmodules of fluid fluent flow (Ansys 17.2). This work has used a three-dimension proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) model along with theoretical analysis so as to improve the performance of PEMFC by optimising operating temperature and pressure. The simulation has run at different operating temperatures with different operating pressure.
