Title

Combined Experimental and Computational Study on Synthesis, Spectroscopic Analysis and Antituberculosis Activity of Azomethine linked Derivatives having hetroaromatic nucleus.

Abstract

A series of dihydrazone were synthesized and screened for antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37R(V) in BACTEC 12B medium using the Microplate Alamar Blue Assay (MABA). The detailed spectroscopic, DFT, antimicrobial, and antitubercular analysis of synthesized dihydrazone derivatives (4e-4f) have been performed and interpreted. The compounds were characterized by 1H NMR spectra and confirm the presence formation of dihydrazide products. All compounds tend the formation of pyrazoline, oxazoline heterocyclic compounds which may have considerable pharmacological activities and material applications. These compounds showed inhibitory activity against M. tuberculosis in primary screening assays. These compounds represent potential leads for the further development of novel antitubercular agents.
