Title

EFFICIENT BLOCKCHAIN-POWERED HEALTHCARE RECORD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR SCALABILITY

Abstract

The implementation of a two-channel configuration using Hyperledger Fabric for electronic medical records management in a healthcare system introduces a critical concern regarding the security of sensitive patient data. In response to these challenges, the integration of the Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm emerges as a robust solution. PoS operates as a consensus mechanism by designating validators based on the amount of cryptocurrency they hold as collateral. This strategic approach ensures that only trusted and committed participants, with a tangible stake in the system, are granted the authority to validate transactions. This not only enhances the overall security posture of the system but also contributes to increased transparency. The PoS algorithm, by relying on participants with a vested interest, serves as a formidable deterrent against malicious activities. This strategic alignment of incentives significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access and tampering with sensitive patient data within the Hyperledger Fabric framework. By entrusting data validation to validators with a tangible stake, the PoS algorithm effectively addresses security concerns associated with the management of electronic medical records. In essence, this approach goes a long way in preserving patient privacy and securing health data, ensuring that the healthcare system operates with the highest standards of integrity and protection against potential security threats.
