Payments banks are a new type of bank in India that was conceptualised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). It is a new project launched by the Reserve Bank of India with the help of Government of India. These banks can take a restricted deposit, which is now limited to Rs 200,000 per person and may be increased further in the future. These banks are unable to provide loans or credit cards. The Study “Impact of Payment Banks on Indian Banks and Customers” is mainly based on Payment Bank in India. The main objective of study is to know about Payment Banks, Customers Attitude towards Payment Banks and Effect of launch of Payment Banks on existing commercial Banks.
