Nanotechnologies are of great significance treating cancer. Nanoparticles are prepared with different types of Polymer based inorganic materials like silica, iron oxide, gold and carbon nanotubes with carbon-based material which are very useful for cancer treatment. This review paper includes types and mechanism of the nanoparticles and how they work to manage cancer and reduces various barriers in cancer treatment. In this review detailed about different types of nanoparticles and their method of preparation and how they work on cancer cells to kill them without affecting normal cells. They have many benefits over the conventional dosage form. They are target specific and not affecting other organs like in case of conventional dosage form. Nanoparticles having lowered side effects and modulated pharmacokinetics and provide better stability.
