Abstract

Teachers are significant in students overall development. On going through the studies of last 15 years, maximum number of studies among teachers were related to self efficacy, self regulation and job stress. Self efficacy is a person’s belief in his or her ability to work or succeed in a definite situation. Self regulation as a set of components, such as self monitoring, self evaluation, self reinforcement and self control, which constitute a dynamic process rather than as a single act or state. Job stress is a harmful physical and emotional response that occurs when there is a poor match between job demands and capabilities, resources or need of the work. In this paper, the researcher analyzed and investigated the studies related to these three factors and finds out that Secondary school teachers with high self-efficacy and self regulation can deal with their stress efficiently, which will improve their positive mental health and reducing mental illness.
