Title

SHARP INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF STUDENT SUICIDES IN INDIA

Abstract

The need to address mental health issues among the youth of India has reached its peak. The cases of student suicides have rose to the highest in the year 2021. Psychologists have highlighted the issues of mental health due to the Covid lockdown, staying indoors and emotional isolation as potential reasons. Our youngsters are afraid of failures, they are unable to cope with rejection and stress leading to a gallop in the rates of suicides
