Title

Gird Connected Battery Energy Storage S ystem (BESS) using HSSDEA controller

Abstract

A grid connected battery energy storage system is becoming increasingly important for the solution in renewable energy. This work proposed as a battery to grid connected system. This work processed in two stages where, stage one is the DC-DC boost converter and second stage is the three phase inverter. For this stage hybrid Salp Swarm Differential Evolution Algorithm (HSSDEA) controller is used to control the charge of the battery. After this stage levelled output passes through designed LCL filter which gives AC output and connected to grid. A simple two-stage power electronic interface with a boost converter and a voltage source inverter for a grid-tied battery system has been designed and tested. A controller for the VSI has been created, allowing independent control of both real and reactive power provided to the grid with regulated voltage. The dc link voltage is kept constant at 700 V, allowing for an additional provision for feeding a dc load
