This paper provides a review on analysis of lung cancer images with optimization. It is based on concept of treating MR images analytically. Lung cancer still seems to be a very common cause of death among the people all over the world. This paper reviews the techniques which is a coalition of two statistical methods Photo Metric and Quality Metric enacted for lung cancer analysis and diagnosis. The inhomogeneous objects are modelled as Gaussian distributions of different means and variances in which a sliding window is used to map the original image into another domain, where the intensity distribution of each object is still Gaussian but better separated.
