Abstract: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), additionally referred to as metabolic dysfunction associated sickness disease (MAFLD), is excessive fat build-up within the liver while not another clear cause like alcohol use. They are of 2 types i.e. NAFL and NASH. NAFLD results in complications like liver disease, carcinoma, liver failure etc. Stage of this disease is progressing from healthy, to steatosis, inflammation, pathology and liver disease. This article contains the information such as symptoms, risk factor, complications, diagnostic methods. Epidemiology says The worldwide prevalence of NAFLD is regarding twenty fifth, starting from thirteen in Africa to twenty third in Europe and thirty second within the Middle East. Also have pathogenesis, and management to treatment. The first line of treatment is sometimes weight loss through a mix of a healthy diet and exercise. Losing weight addresses the conditions that contribute to NAFLD. Basic treatment of steatosis/insulin resistance. And recent advancement in treatment such as Targeting metabolism and oxidative stress, Targeting insulin resistance, Peroxisome proliferator-activator receptors etc.
