Abstract Coefficient of variability and correlation between yield and its components was worked out at phenotypic, genotypic and environmental level in 26 induced mutants of faba bean. Number of branches, pods plant, seeds per plant and yield per plant were more variable than the other traits studied. At phenotypic level seed yield showed strong positive correlation with plant height, number of branches, pods per plant, seeds per plant and test weight. But at genotypic level seed yield showed high positive correlation with all the characters except days to flower. Significant positive environmental correlation of seed yield were noted with plant height, number of branches, pods per plants, seeds per plant and test weight indicate that these associations are subjected to environmental influences. Correlation between components characters were similar in magnitude and direction in all the level studied.
