It has been clear over the past few years online education has emerged as a strong competitor to the next new education technology. Although previous technological advances have failed to live up to their original promise, I strongly believe this time is really different. A few online courses were conducted recently that taught thousands of students various topics. The personal experience of online education is about to change; we need to understand the background problems events. Technology affects every aspect of society and is highly variable. But there is an important part of society has also used the latest innovations and discoveries and that concept online education. It is an effective tool for developing the education sector in India. This paper aims to explore into the benefits and challenges of online education in Indian education system. This paper also outlines the salient features of online education and analyse how they effect the existing education system.
