Title

Experimental study on early strength test of self -compacting concrete using Rice husk ash

Abstract

An experimental study is carried out to develope the self compacting concrete(SCC) with optimum doses of superplasticizer using Rice husk ash(RHA). RHA has been replaced by the weight of cement with optimize doses of superplasticizer and strength behaviour of SCC has been observed.RHA is a pozzolonic material and used as a supplementary cementitious material(SCMs). For developing SCC (EFNARC code has been refer) cement has been replace with RHA by 5% and varying doses of superplasticizer(1.1,1.2,1.3,1.4,1.5) percentage has been used. Flowability, passing ability and segregation has been observed that optimised amount of superplasticizer(1.5%). Mechanical testing of SCC has performed and enhancement in the mechanical strength has observed. We have used w/c ratio of 0.42 and superplasticizer1.3- 1.5% as Viscosity modifying agent(VMA). The casting and developing were done as per the relevant Indian code
