Abstract:- In the present paper thirty five variable have been selected,which influence the investment behaviour of individual. Data have collected from three districts namely Kangra,Una and Hamirpur.Total five hundred and forty respondents were administered the questionnaire. These variables are measured on 5-point likert scale i.e. (1) very good (2) good (3) average (4) below average (5) poor. All the respondents were asked to give their view on 5-point likert scale to what extent these variables affect their investment decisions. Thereafter. factor analysis has been done to extract the factors from the observed variables, which affect their investment decisions. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of sampling adequacy and Bartlett's Test of Sphericity was applied to measure the adequacy. Principal component analysis method has been used to extract the factors in rotated and unrotated matrix.Five factors namely safety, liquidity, capital appreciation. Rate of return and taxation benefits have been extracted.In the present paper district-wise analysis of first determinant of significant investment behaviour i.e safety has been done
