Title

A REVIEW: OVERVIEW OF THE DIAMONDBACK MOTH CONTROL BY BIOLOGICAL APPROACHES

Abstract

Diamondback moth is a serious pest in the entire part of agriculture, particularly in leafy vegetables, Many studies have been conducted on their pest for the management of DBMs by integrated pest management, but the loss of crops is increased annually, which affects the yield profit. But the implementation and control of the pest are still at a minimum so certain techniques are needed for the control of moths at maximum population. The are many reasons for this including over-reliance on chemical control and narrow aspect research which lacks a holistic outlook, which leads to inadequate understanding of the farmers. in this paper, these constraints are critically examined, and several attempts are also made to identify the steps to expedite the present initiatives in integrated pest management development and implementation. The IPM integrates techniques are appraised and many elements for identification, by using certain methods for the control of moths. Particularly in farmer training, suitable development support communication to be utilized encompassing pre-testing posters for maximum population control.
