Face recognition system is built for matching human faces with digital image where the computer recognizes the pixel values ranging from 0-255. In computer vision, face recognition has been in since ages and has evolved over years. In the traditional method, a teacher manually takes attendance, which is a time-consuming process and requires human interaction at both ends. So, to avoid these drawbacks, an automatic process will be used in this project, which is face recognition technology. In this system face detection is performed using Haar Cascades and OpenCV for capturing the facial features and recognition of the detected faces is done using LBPH algorithm. The system detects the faces and stores the images in the trained dataset and recognises the faces and marks the attendance with name, ID and time.
