Metaheuristic approaches are now popular in solving various multimodal problems. Particle Swarm Optimization, in particular is widely used in solving these kind of applications due to its simplicity and efficiency. In this study, fuzzy evaluation was added to basic PSO to enhance its decision making capabilities. Results of the study, shows that the integration of fuzzy evaluation to the basic PSO produced better results. The resulting meal plans satisfy 67% of nutrient requirements, it also distribute 50% or two out of four food groups in the meal plan, and was able to generate 50% or two out of four food requirements from the four different food groups in the daily meal plan. Based on these results, the integration of fuzzy evaluation has addressed its limitation of producing a suboptimal solutions.
