Vertigo is a symptom of imagined spinning or rotation or unsteadiness. The patient feels they or their surroundings are moving. These sensations point primarily to a problem in the LABYRINTHS OF THE INNER EAR, peripheral lesions of Cranial nerve 8 or lesions in its central pathways or nuclei in the brain. Clinically based on the onset, duration, progress and associated symptoms one can analyse this symptom of vertigo. This is a case presentation of vertigo occurring due to drug toxicity whose onset can be insidious or acute, hearing may be impaired on both sides, the accompanying symptoms being nausea and vomiting, tinnitus may be present. Although under trials of Metformin this presentation of vertigo has not been observed, hence arises the need to report such kind of case to place the facts before the scientific community. Usually in course of such cases of drug toxicity the recovery may be partial adaptation if the drug is not consumed for longer duration of time. Luckily in homoeopathy there exists ways of managing and restoring such kind of phenomena. Theridion is a medicine prepared from poison of orange spider that is known to produce hypersensitiveness of nerves specially to noise. As demonstrated in this case this medicine when given to the sick restored his sensitiveness so much so that he could attend musical concerts.
