Title

Experimental investigation and optimization the performance of VARS system for vehicle air conditioning

Abstract

As we know that a lot of fuel energy is consumed by the conventional vapour compression refrigeration system for vehicle air conditioning leading to the depletion of fossil fuel resources and the second thing is that the refrigerant used in the conventional vapour compression refrigeration system cycle is also harmful and responsible for ozone layer depletion. The use of commercial as well as private vehicles is increasing day by day. So it is necessary to switch over from the conventional vapour compression refrigeration system to the vapour adsorption refrigeration system which is almost eco friendly system.in order to evaluate the performance of the system, we need to check the performance of the adsorption bed which uses waste heat of the vehicle to run the system. Also the adsorbent - refrigerant pair used for the system is not harmful to the environment. So efforts have been made in this study to optimize the performance of adsorption bed.
