Due to Urbanization the urban people facing so many problems that is urban heat island, environmental issues, economical issues, physiological issues. The roof garden is one of the solutions to solve the above problems and is very important to in our day today life. Sky garden is a green space by adding layers of plants on top of a roofing System. The types of sky garden are intensive sky garden and extensive sky garden. Intensive sky garden is deep and accessible by the people. Extensive sky garden is Shallow and Inaccessible by the People. The design consideration is Protection of the structure, Positive drainage, long term lightweight planting medium, Irrigation system, Plants and Hardscape material selection, Provision for utilities, Public safety and security, Ease of maintenance. Sky garden is act as a Aesthetical element. It provides economic and physiological benefit to society. It also reduces the urban heat and global warming through transpiration of plants and provides healthy living for the people.
