Now the time has come where natural resources existing in everyone surrounding have started showing sign of significant depletion over the period. Due to continue depletion of natural resources emphasis is given for optimum utilization of industrial as well as infrastructural waste. The application of such in civil engineering as to make cost effective and environmental friendly construction materials as well as to adopt construction practices. Recycle process in which the waste material is being re used in any way is key for sustainable development of any country. It has been found after the literature review related to RAP that during the maintaince of the road pavement many coarse aggregate coated with bitumen from pre existing has to be removed and replaced which are considered as infrastructural waste, can be re utilized for the repair as well as new pavement material leading to save a lot of money. Reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is defined as the reclaimed and reprocessed pavement materials containing asphalt and aggregates and is produced by milling during reconstruction, resurfacing operations or to obtain access to buried utilities, or full depth removal of existing pavement layers which after proper crushing and screening consists of high-quality, well-graded aggregates coated by aged asphalt cement. This paper evaluate the properties of reclaimed asphalt pavement (rap) in bituminous concrete.
