Title

Role of liquidity and solvency on profitability of selected oil& gas companies in India

Abstract

The oil and gas sector is among the eight core industries in India. It plays a major role in influencing decision making for all the other important sections of the economy. It contributes 7.9% of the total economic output. Further, this sector is significant for the Indian economy in several ways. For the economy as a whole the Indian Oil and Gas sector is the largest contributor to Central Revenue. The objective of this paper is to analyse the role of liquidity and solvency on profitability of selected oil and gas companies in India and offer various suggestive measurements for the improvement of financial health of the selected Oil and Gas companies.
