The construction sector has been dramatically impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic and has been pushed to enhance the safety and wellness of personnel. Advanced construction machinery and equipment play a significant part in the construction sector, where corporate goals are rigorously time, quality, and profit-oriented. Choosing the right equipment for a construction job is a significant consideration. In major construction projects, where the equipment inventory plays a significant role in the performance of the operation, this is even more essential. Thus the objective of this research is the financial factors and non-financial factors involved in the selection of construction equipment – particularly in the post-Covid era. Where dynamics of the job are under considerable stress and frequent changes are seen in the prices of the materials as well as the overall execution of the job. With the help of the literature and industry experts, 27 critical factors are identified and a questionnaire survey is developed for working professionals in the construction sector, particularly for Ahmedabad, Gujarat region.
