Abstract. The present investigation was conduct to study the water quality of river Ganga, from Devoparyag, Rishikesh and Haridwar. During the period jun and November 2020. The water quality of the Ganga river has been increased during this period. The physico –chemical characteristics at the Deoparyag , Rishikesh and Haridwar city. The 22 sampling site upper and down stream of the drain discharge into Ganga river including STP drain to indict the water quality of the water. According to the report of CPCB 2019 show the 86 live monitoring station installed in as many location, only seven area have been founded to be fit for drinking after disinfection process while 78 have been found unfit. The CPCB says the river water is so polluted that it unfit for bathing, let alone drinking. The sewage is a big issue. Work is going on and it will take a little while. Every day we monitor the water quality.
