• Hyperlipidemia has become burning medical problem of today’s era, which is the prime cause for vascular diseases like cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. Hyperlipidemia is a rise in plasma cholesterol, triglyceride or both. Elevated cholesterol primarily refers to high-low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). Since approximately 70% of cholesterol is carried in the LDL particle. These lipoproteins are circulatory lipid molecules seen in generally blood vessel. Hyperlipidemia is an asymptomatic and undetected. In hyperlipidemia it is obvious to have aggregation of cholesterol in blood vessel, which make an atherosclerotic plaque responsible for major vascular disorders. Recent studies have reported that high cholesterol is present in 25-30% of urban and 15-20% in rural subject. Considering all these the present study was undertaken to compare the efficacy Murchitha Tila Taila is given as Shodhananga Snehapana and Basti is used as a Pravicharana Sneha. Thus the study was intended to evaluate the efficacy of Murchitha Tilataila as Pana and Basti in hyperlipidemia
