Calotropis procera (Asclepiadaceae) milk weed family which is a white flowered plant is present more less throughout india. It is a tall shrub with yellowish- white bark, and thick leaves and white flowers. when stem, branches, and leaves are cut, crushed or incised, they yield milky white latex, which is an acrid juice called madar juice. So, its common names are Akra, Akanal and Madar. The Leaves of Calotropis procera are said to be valuable as an antidote for snake bite, sinus fistula, rheumatism, mumps, burn injuries and body pains. The Leaves of calotropis procera are also used to to treat jaundice. A study on Calotropis procera white flower Samples extracted the air-dried flower powder with different solvents such as 90% Ethanol and petroleum-ether and double distilled water
Preliminary phytochemical analysis was done on the dried flower powder of different solvents extract to investigate the phytochemical groups as alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, Phenolic compounds, quinines, cardiac glycosides, saponines and steroids etc. and also identified primary metabolites like aminoacids, proteins and polysaccharides. And also this study was to make green synthesis of silver nano-particles using white flower extracts And then characterization of the synthesized Silver nano-particle with flower extract by UV-visible, FT-IR, XRD, SEM. This green method is simple, rapid, Eco-friendly, and reliable and It may have a potential use In the bio-medical applications.
