THE DISCIPLINE OF SILENCE AND SOLITUDE FOR SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Abstract

Spiritual disciplines must be actively practiced in order to develop spiritually. Two of the numerous spiritual disciplines are solitude and silence. Researchers always consider these two fields together even though they are distinct since silence is necessary for isolation. This essay investigates the benefits of solitude and silence to determine how these activities support a person's spiritual growth.
