Ayurveda is the science of life, which mentioned various principles for prevention and treatment of diseases1. Ayurveda advice to lead good life and avoid bad lifestyle is read whereas diagnosis and treatment of diseases is well proposed in science of Ayurveda. In Ayurveda there is description about eight principles of Ayurveda i.e. ‘Ashtanga Ayurveda2’ ; in which ‘Balachikitsa’ means ‘Kaumarbhritya’ tantra was also mentioned, which deals with the diseases related with the Child. krimiroga is one of the most common disease. The complaints towards the infestation of worm come with greater incidence in pediatric practice. Worm infestation is ignored by both parents and physicians because of less severity of symptoms till the infection becomes severe. Once the disease becomes severe the matured eggs may enter or dwell in any system, even may enter the brain, heart, lungs and show serious complications like intestinal obstruction. It’s been observed that Helminthiasis lowers school performance of the child. Totally when Helminthiasis is simple it’s difficult to identify and when it becomes severe difficult to cure. Worm infestation could lead to malnutrition, iron deficiency anemia & impaired physical growth. It could also affect the learning ability of a child. Due to high prevalence & its complication; Krimi has been given much importance from early ‘Vedas’ & also in modern science. Different types of Kalpanas have been stated in the forms of Churna, Gutika, Asava, Arishta, Rasakalpana etc. An analysis of the pharmacodyncmic properties of such drugs indicate that the drug with predominence of Katu, Tikta, Kashaya Rasa and Ushna Veerya are more likely to be having Krimighna properties. In this regard Parasik yavani having krimighna property mentioned in Chakaradatta .
