IPV is a serious public health problem with numerous personal and societal repercussions. Abuse or aggression committed against a love partner is referred to as intimate partner violence (IPV). Both spouses and dating partners are considered to be an intimate partner. Both the frequency and severity of IPV can vary. It can take the form of a single violent incident that could have long -lasting effects or numerous, chronic, and serious incidents over many years. It includes physical Violence, Sexual violence, Stalking, Psychological aggression. It is possible to stop intimate partner abuse. The likelihood of engaging in and witnessing intimate partner violence might change depending on a variety of factors. In order to stop intimate partner violence, we need to know what makes people vulnerable to or resistant to violence, and we need to address those issues. Promoting wholesome, respectful, and nonviolent connections and communities can aid in lowering the prevalence of IPV.
