Linear programming problem or optimization problem is a process which determines the best way to use available resources. This process helps in making decisions about the most efficient use of limited resources like money, time, materials, and machinery. It is also denoted as LPP. There are many fields where linear programming problems are applied like Manufacturing problems, Diet Problems, Transportation Problems, etc. Nutrition plays a fundamental role in determining the growth of adolescent boys. An appropriate growth progression is considered a forewarning of sufficient nutrient intake and good health of boys. In order to grow and stay healthy, young children need a variety of nutritious foods such as Grains cereals and millets, grain legumes, green leafy vegetables, other vegetables, fruits, roots and tubers, condiments and spices-fresh, nuts and oil seeds, sugars, milk and milk products. Python (Spider) is a widely used programming language and freely available software for statistical computing. In this Paper, we formulate real-life diet problem into a statistical model using python programming taking into consideration certain linear relationships between food items and their quantities to obtain the best possible solution to the problem of daily diet of an adolescent boy.
