Title

Impact of Parents’ Status on Interest of Secondary School Students with Learning Disabilities: An Investigation

Abstract

Introduction: Interests are man’s mental dispositions that motivate attention and influence our performances. Interests are the preconditions of academic achievements. It is one of the principal subjective sources of attention process of the learners. In spite of their clear effect on students’ achievements in various scholastic and life skills matters, interests are sometimes paid less attention and even overlooked. The attributes and sources of students’ interests are of important concern of teachers, academicians and policy makers. In this paper, we attempt to investigate the impact of parents’ educational and occupational status on general interest level of secondary students suffering from learning disabilities through descriptive survey method of research.
