This article delves into the application of mathematical techniques in economics, specifically focusing on differential calculus to analyze functions with multiple variables for economic purposes. The research problem revolves around maximizing profits for a multi-product company by utilizing the second-order derivative test in Calculus. The methodology involved solving various problems related to maximizing profits for a company producing two different products, X and Y, with corresponding pricing. The results highlighted the importance of understanding the mathematical underpinnings of economic analysis to optimize profits in competitive markets. The implications of this study include promoting critical and creative thinking, enhancing quantitative skills for economic research, and improving employability to tackle contemporary economic challenges.
