Air pollution is become a major worry for India. According to the most recent update, numerous cities in India have the highest air pollution.The industrial sector and the transportation sector are the two major contributors to air pollution. The industrial sector responsible for 51% of air pollution, while the transportation sector responsible for 27%. In order to minimize the air pollution,Electric Vehicle(EV) can act as blessing in lowering the Green House Gases emission. Electric Vehicle offer numerous advantage such as decreasing the pollution level and Reduction in oil import bills etc. In this paper the future of electric vehicle in Indian market are discussed.The different factors like economic, technical, social and environmental which are affecting the EV market are discussed. The battery and infrastructure development are related to economic and Technological factors. Based on the challenges, recommendations are made and it also helps to promote the market growth of electric vehicles
