The Haranshikari tribe had no livelihood other than the forest. They were more associated with forest perennials and they had a lifestyle and culture with the natural environment. Until the 19th century, they had little contact with urban and rural communities. Honey, medicinal plants and wildlife hunting Collecting was their main occupation. The life of the Haranshikari tribe gradually came into contact with the villages because of the protective forest. Women began begging, as well as selling items needed in urban culture such as needles, beehives, and plant products. He started producing and selling local liquor. Production and sale of liquor is their main source of incomeis the source. Moreover, their natural lifestyle led them to engage in theft and sometimes criminal activities. Besides, the thief took the place of a hunter in his religious life. After independence, their lives began to stabilize and they began to integrate into civil society. In this background the present research throws light on the changing cultural life of the Haranshikari tribe spilled The present investigation is based on observation and interactions with community members. This study is descriptive and was conducted in October 2021. The study revealed that the cultural milieu of Haranshikari tribe is changing with the changes of time. They are gradually giving up traditional belief systems and adapting to new ways of life. They gradually becoming civilized and abandoning traditional occupations such as hunting and thieving. Community social conservatives are turning to modern rationalism. With improved educational levels and access to resources, community culture is in transition.
