Title

A STUDY ON CUSTOMER SATISFACTION TOWARDS ONLINE SHOPPING WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THOOTHUKUDI DISTRICT

Abstract

The rapid development of the internet has strongly impact upon the worldwide digital marketing. Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or service from a seller over the internet using a web browser or a mobile app. Consumers find a product of interest by visiting the website of the retailer directly or by searching among alternative vendors using a shopping search engine, which displays the same product’s availability and pricing at different e-retailers. This research study is taking place to identify the factors that may influence the customer’s online shopping satisfaction. Generally, the success of online shopping essentially depends on the customer satisfaction during their purchase. A well- structured questionnaire was used for this study. In this study convenient sampling techniques were used in selecting the samples. The data collected from the respondents were converted into readable form to the process of classification and arrangements. The data were tabulated and analyzed for logical statement using statistical tools like simple percentage analysis, Garrett ranking analysis and weighted Arithmetic mean test.
