Title

Experimental Study of Air Cooled Condenser Using Fans With Various Blades

Abstract

An experimental set up is made for an air-cooled condenser and a heat exchanger for observing the water flow rate using different types of fans with various number of blades. The comparisons are done between various quantities like pressure of steam, water flow rate, speed of fan, no. of blades of fan and temperature difference of hot and cold water and air inlet and air outlet. It is found that water flow rate increases with increase in the speed of fan and also increases with decreasing no. of blades. So using the fan with less no. of blades we can get better results.
