Abstract

The present study deals about the traditional and economic uses of Gloriosa superba Linn. (LILIACEAE). Ethno-botanical studies were supplemented by detailed literature review. This plant was escaped in several localities, even a weed in some places. Now, it is considered threatened due to over harvesting by pharmaceutical trade.
