Title

DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF TRANSDERMAL DELIVERY SYSTEM OF PAROXETINE

Abstract

The primary objective of this effort was to prepare and evaluate the transdermal patches for paroxetine. This formulation will disseminate a dosage of medication that is suitable for use in medicine when applied to the skin. RPM, vacuum, and temperature were all kept within their corresponding ranges. The patches were made and provided for further review while they were still frozen. The F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, and F6 formulations' physical and chemical properties, including tensile strength, folding endurance, percent elongation break test, thickness, and drug content, were evaluated. All evaluation findings showed that F4 was the most effective formulation. The produced transdermal patches were evaluated for the dissolving study in pH 7.4 phosphate buffer using the membrane diffusion method.
