Title

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF COMPOSITE LEAF SPRING

Abstract

The learning has been undertaken to investigate the effect of composite material on leaf spring. The comparative study is done between the multi leaf spring with Steel as a material and mono leaf spring with composite as a material. The modelling is done in CATIA V5 and analysis is done in ANSYS. The equivalent stress and total deformation is calculated through ANSYS. According to the study, composite leaf springs provide better outcomes and are lighter than traditional steel leaf springs for similar performance. As a result, composite leaf springs are a good alternative to convectional leaf springs.
