This study investigates the problems faced by adolescents and evaluates the effectiveness of counselling interventions in higher secondary schools in Bokaro district. A sample of 200 adolescents (100 urban, 100 rural) was studied using descriptive and causal-comparative methods. Results indicated significant emotional (36%), academic (30%), and social (20%) challenges, particularly among urban adolescents. Counselling improved emotional stability by 26%, academic performance by 19%, and peer interactions by 22%.
