STUDY EFFECT OF DEPTH AND SURFACE AREA ON EVAPORATION LOSSES FROM TANKS

Abstract

Abstract: Water is very essential and without its life is not possible. As useful quantity of the water is inadequate and so losses of the water should be reduced. Evaporation is one of the major losses. To study the Effect of depth of water and surface area of the reservoir on the rate of the evaporation losses, experimental research had been conducted on the two tanks erected at Ghanshyam Nagar. The Results of the research show that whenever the depth of water in any tank decreases for given surface area of the same tank, the rate of the evaporation increases.
