With rapid development of internet technologies and diversity of use of information over internet; digital media needs to be transmitted conveniently and securely over network. Attacks such as information capturing, information altering and unauthorized access of the information over networks are challenging security issues. Solution of these issues is Information Hiding. Among other information hiding techniques, Steganography is a very important information hiding technique which is used widely now days. In this paper, we studied the various existing information hiding techniques using Steganography like LSB, Spatial Domain using last two bits, using Parity Checker bit, using 6th, 7 th and 8 th bit of pixel value, Semi Pixel Difference Method for Digital Image Watermarking, Using Determinant of Matrix etc. We analyzed incremental growth of various Steganography techniques for different parameters & its challenges..
