Title

Synthesis and characterization of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles using Ocimum gratissimum L. leaf extract

Abstract

ZnO nanoparticles are used in an increasing number of industrial products such as rubber, paint, coatings, and cosmetics. Here we report the green synthesis method for the preparation of ZnO nanoparticles from Ocimum gratissimum leaf extract. The size of the particles and morphology of the synthesized ZnO nanoparticles are characterized by using SEM and X-ray Diffraction. The sample's functional groups were identified using FTIR. It was observed that the size of the nanoparticles ranged from 94 to 205 nm. This method is eco-friendly and cost-effective.
