Water is a finite resource and its quality is essential for human health and the health of the environment. The quality of water can be affected by both natural processes and human activities, such as land use changes, industrial processes, and sewage discharge. Accurate and reliable methods for water quality monitoring are therefore essential to evaluate the suitability of water for various purposes and to monitor the impact of human activities and natural processes on water quality. This information is used to evaluate the suitability of water for various purposes and to monitor the impact of human activities and natural processes on water quality. In this review paper, various methods for water quality monitoring, including chemical analysis, physical analysis, biological analysis, remote sensing, and citizen science, are discussed. The strengths and limitations of each method are also considered. Despite the challenges and limitations of water quality monitoring methods, it is essential to continue developing and improving these methods to ensure the accurate and reliable measurement of water quality
