Tracing the loneliness and depression in Ramcharan Harshana's ''A Neighbour in America''

Abstract

The paper traces an Indian mother's feeling of loneliness, depression and her bizarre experience as a first timer in the host land. The generation gap between a single mother and her son and the conflict between their perception of a term 'neighbour' has been analysed.
